Very few people knew – until this week that is – that jovial comedy actor Seth Rogen had been deeply affected by the ongoing tragedy of Alzheimer’s disease.

The Canadian star’s mother-in-law first starting showing sign of Alzheimer’s at just 55, and now at 60 years old is completely dependant on round the clock care to wash, dress herself and eat.

The comedian was so affected by the illness he launched a charity to help support victims, called Hilarity For Charity – and even decided to make a moving speech in front of a U.S. Senate committee hearing to beg for more funding and research into this devastating disease.
