There’s a tired old cliché that says a dog is for life and not just Christmas and if anything ever proved this true it would have to be the following collection of doggy portraits. Photographer Amanda Jones wanted to demonstrate to all that a dog’s love and devotion is timeless. She wanted to create something that would help owners who were dealing with the loss of their beloved pet. Amanda began following the lives of thirty different dogs from their puppy days to old age.
She says of her work that it demonstrates that “the bond we share with our canine companions deepens and matures in their journey from playful pups to wise old friends.” I’ve always been a cat person but after seeing Amanda’s work I think maybe now I need a dog in my life.
